Books I Loved In 2016

2016 has come to an end and it’s always fun to look back and check what we’ve accomplished. I set up my goal for 50 books, which for me was a lot, and I did it! Of course, not all the books were favorites, so I wanted to share with you the ones that I truly loved here.

It was hard, but I narrowed them down as much as I could and divided them into two categories: Novels and Others. They are in no particular order and I only put the first book of the series because I’m lazy (sorry). Let’s check them out!

Top Ten Tuesday: Creepy reads

Another week, another Top Ten Tuesday, a meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. The topic for the week is a Halloween related freebie, so I’m going with creepy reads. This includes short stories, novels, non-fiction and poems that are either scary or disturbing for many different reasons. Let’s check them out!

Top Ten Tuesday: Characters I’d name a pet after

Another week, another Top Ten Tuesday, a meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. The topic today is all about characters’ names, so I’m going with characters I’d name a pet after. Fun fact: I actually named my cat Theo after seeing the name on the spine of a book, although it referred to Vincent van Gogh’s brother and not a fictional character. Maybe for a future pet I’ll consider any of these. Let’s check them out!

Top Ten Tuesday: Books I read because of recommendations

Another week, another Top Ten Tuesday, a meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. The topic today is books I read because of recommendations. I’ve included recommendations from very different people in my list, because if I only added the ones that bloggers have made me read, I would never finish! Let’s check them out!

Top Ten Tuesday: Favorite Villains

Another week, another Top Ten Tuesday, a meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. The topic today is all about the villains. I chose to list some of my favorite villains because they give books life! These are characters I love to hate. I know I’m missing a lot of villains, but these were just the first ones that popped into my head when I read the topic for the week. Let’s check them out.

Top Ten Tuesday: Books on my fall TBR list

Another week, another Top Ten Tuesday, a meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. The topic today is books on my fall TBR list. I’m leaving out my Halloween reads because I’ll be participating in a readathon and creating a different post for it. But let’s check the rest out!

Top Ten Tuesday: Why I can’t listen to audiobooks

Another week, another Top Ten Tuesday, a meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. This time the theme is an all about audio freebie. So, I decided to talk about the reasons why I can’t listen to audiobooks. It’s sad, but I can’t seem to listen to any books successfully, no matter how much I try. I know there are some amazing audiobooks out there, so hopefully I will be able to overcome these reasons in the future! Let’s check them out.

August Wrap-Up

August wasn’t the best of months, so I’m sort of glad is over and I can think of September as a clean slate. I couldn’t really concentrate on anything I was doing, so I didn’t read much. I had to take a blogging hiatus on the last week because I wasn’t able to write anything. But I think I’m back on track now, at least I hope so. Let’s see how August actually went down.

Top Ten Tuesday: Books on my TBR since the beginning of time

Another week, another Top Ten Tuesday, a meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. The topic was “Ten Books That Have Been On Your Shelf (Or TBR) From Before You Started Blogging That You STILL Haven’t Read Yet”, but since I just started 3 months ago I decided to take it a little further and go for books I’ve had on my TBR since the beginning of time. Some of this books have been on my TBR for more than 10 years, others for just a year or so. Compiling this list was sort of terrible. I felt ashamed of leaving these poor books on my TBR for so long, but the time has not been right for them! Let’s check them out.

July Wrap-Up

July was a busy busy month and I couldn’t read as much as I wanted because it was my first month on a full time job. Still, I read two amazing books and two not-so-great ones and I’m happy with that. As for the blog… well, I neglected my Genre Exploration series because I’m a little stuck with the next post I’m planning. But let’s not mind that, let’s see my July 2016 monthly wrap-up!
