The Food-Snack Book Tag

Today I’m doing the food-snack book tag! Thanks to this I realized that I don’t often snack while reading because I tend to be very concentrated and barely even move. Maybe with audio-books is easier? I was tagged by the lovely Zoey from Magiverse, so be sure to check out her blog and read her answers for this tag as well. Now let’s get to it!

Chocolate pretzels

Chocolate covered Pretzels – A book couple you never thought would work\get together | There were too many spoilery anwers to this, so I decided to go with a known one: Ron and Hermione from Harry Potter. I thought J.K. Rowling wasn’t ever going to write them together, but I’m glad I was wrong!

pringles

Prungales (see what I did there? The name is a trademark so I couldn’t use it) – An addictive book you can’t get enough of | I’m going to go with the Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater because the latest series I read that got me hooked from book one.

trailmix

Trail mix – A book with a variety of characters | One that I just finished comes to mind: The Circle by Mats Strandberg and Sara B. Elfgren. It is the first of a series on teenage witches and they are all very different and have to learn to work together.

Fruit bowl

Fruit Bowls – An unpredictable character | Probably not many people know this novella and it’s certainly not for everyone, but Lise, the main character of The Driver’s Seat by Muriel Spark, was extremely unpredictable. You literally don’t know what she’s doing until you reach the final page. I would classify it as an absurdist novella, so you understand how unpredictable it can be.

Nut bar

Nut bar – Your go to book | I’m going for a recent read that I know I will always go back to and that’s Salt by Nayyirah Waheed, a beautiful poetry collection that you can read time and time again and gain something new.

popcorn

Popcorn – A character you can’t help but like| Hugo Lamb from The Bone Clocks by David Mitchell, because even though he was a jerk I loved reading about him and I got to understand his choices.

If you already did this or don’t want to do it, please ignore. Otherwise, here you go, you guys are tagged!

  1. I love to snack on the Boom Chicka Pow popcorn! It doesn’t make my fingers greasy, so it’s easy to turn the pages. This looks like a fun tag! I’m also super glad that Ron & Hermione ended up together.
